THE
SORGHUM MILL

The Sorghum Mill was the first workshop established at Motse Wa Badiri Camphill. With more than twenty employees, it is our biggest workshop and generates, by far, the most income.

The sorghum flour produced in the mill is a staple food for the people of Botswana. It is used to make a breakfast porridge called "Motogo" and to make a thicker porridge called "Bogobe", which is eaten with soup or meat.

Two workers from the mill Milling sorghum has proven to be an excellent way of creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. It involves a variety of tasks which, no matter how big or how small, are all equally important parts of the overall process.

There are currently ten people with disabilities working in the mill at Motse Wa Badiri Camphill.
