Funding

Motse Wa Badiri is primarily funded through the operation of its four income generating workshops. No fees are charged to the people with disabilities who take part in the vocational training programme.

Grants from the Botswana Ministry of Health and the Botswana Ministry of Education, specified as a contribution to the running costs of the Vocational Training Programme, were made available for the first time in 1995. They amounted to approximately 38% of the total running costs of Motse Wa Badiri during 1995. These grants were again made available during 1996.

Occasional non-specific donations have been used to meet daily expenses or used as working capital. The cost of the infrastructure (workshops, accommodation etc.) has been paid for from donations made by Development Agencies and Embassy Development Funds.
