The development levy is a one off                   non-refundable payment. Incoming Form 6, AS and A2 students are exempt from the levy, but are required to pay a refundable security deposit.


Fees are payable in advance at the Academy. They are always due three working days before the opening day of each term, and are otherwise publicised on notice boards and in circulars.

Year 2008 School Fees

Term one fees for the next year should be paid by 28th September 2007 (Form1 - 4: P7, 370.00). Those on our waiting list may fill the places of the students whose fees are not paid on or before 28th September 2007 unless prior arrangements have been made through the Bursar.

Other Terms and conditions

Late payment incurs a penalty, P 100.00 during the two working days before opening day P 200.00 thereafter, as do all RD cheques. Penalties can be avoided where a late payment and/or special payment schedule has been prearranged with management.

Form 5 fees are payable in the first two terms at P 11, 050.00 per term.

The total cost for Form HIGCSE programme for 2008 (excluding the refundable security deposit) will be P 26, 620.00 payable in the first two terms at P 13, 310.00 per term.

The total cost for 2008 AS programme (excluding the refundable security deposit) will be P 30, 250.00 payable in the first two terms at P 15, 125.00 per term.

The total cost for 2007 A2 programme (excluding the refundable security deposit) will be P 30, 250.00 payable in the first two terms at P. 15, 125.00 per term.

Should a HIGCSE/AS/A2 student withdraw during the course the parent/guardian is still liable for fee for the entire course.

Places may be forfeited if fees are unpaid by the FIRST DAY of the term, unless prior arrangements have been made with management. When withdrawing a student, one term’s notice is required or one term’s fee in lieu of notice. The Academy provides its students with textbooks at no additional cost. Students are, however, accountable for any excessive damage to books or other school properties.

Gaining Admission

To enter Form one, Botswana students should normally have completed the National Primary School Leaving Exam (PSLE). Candidates who demonstrate an equivalent academic standard can also be accepted. With the exception of Standard 7 applicants from Legae Primary School, applicants to all forms must sit and pass an entrance examination.

To sit for the examination, students should have completed the Application form and have paid the registration fee.

Progression through the Academy is based on merit.
