Athletics Results

Our school participated in the Zonal Competitions 2002 this past weekend (23 - 24 March 2002) in Molepolole ( Molepolole Sports Complex). The level of competition displayed by schools that participated showed that we need a lot of training and of course good facilities we can use for our daily training. Our athletes lacked endurance which is a sign of training in a small pitch, many of them could not complete a lap i.e. 400m and some if not all were not comfortable running on a track covered with rubber and wearing running shoes (spikes). All this factors led to a dismal performance by the team. The School sent 38 athletes for the competition and only six (6) were able to proceed to the national finals, thanks to Obonwe Gare who took position 1 and 2 in 100m and 200m respectively, Mpho Matswe Discus and our girls girls relay Team  that consited of Obonwe Gare, Keamogetswe Modise, Binang Mogapaesi and Mesotlo Molefe. The school will send this team for the National Finals in two weeks time still in Molepolole.
