Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
What is CIMA?
CIMA is a UK qualification with enormous international prestige.
It is the only accountancy qualification which specialises in preparing accountants
exclusively for work in
a commercial or industrial environment. It has more than 35 000 members and
55000 students world wide and a long history in Botswana. The examination
syllabus is structured to three levels. Applicants with a relevant degree from the University of Botswana
are exempt from the Foundation levels.
What type of course does BAC run?
BAC runs courses for each of the Intermediate and Final levels each
year. Because of the flexibility of the examinations students are increasingly
choosing subjects to sit, rather than levels, and the structure of our courses

In order to be accepted for CIMA courses at BAC, an applicant

Students are responsible for registering with CIMA, which can be facilitated through the CIMA
Botswana branch in Acumen House, Showgrounds. BAC will provide application forms.
