IntroductionThe professional studies year has been developed by the Department (Computing and Information Systems). All assessment is carried out internally under the scrutiny of external examiners appointed by the Department. Additionally, the Department welcome any monitoring or external examining role that a UK partner organisation may wish to perform. The Department acknowledge that the professional studies year may require formal monitoring in order to contribute to advanced standing or accreditation for prior learning. Course RequirementsApplicants for the BAC Professional Studies in Computing normally will either...(i) have passed the NCC Advanced Diploma with a total score of at least 55% (BAC pay particular attention to marks from more technical modules); or (ii) have passed an equivalent Diploma in Computing from another organisation with a minimum grade of credit. Note: relevant work experience and other qualifications in Computing may be an advantage. All applicants must submit a completed application form indicating
an employer or other sponsor who has agreed to be responsible for the payment of course fees.
