What is the IAD in Computer Studies?
The IAD from NCC Education is a one year
programme that prepares students for a career in Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) and for further study. The IAD is recognised
universities in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand as having a credit
towards degree courses.
It builds on the International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS),
emphasising the use of computing in a business context.
Course Requirements
Applicants for the NCC International Advanced Diploma in Computer
Studies normally will either...
(i) have passed
the NCC Ordinary Diploma with a total score of at least 55% (BAC
pay
particular attention to marks from more technical modules);
or (ii) have passed an equivalent Diploma
in Computing from another organisation with a
minimum grade of credit.
Note: relevant work experience and other qualifications in Computing
may be an advantage.
All applicants must submit a completed application form indicating
an employer or other sponsor
who has agreed to be responsible for the payment of course fees.
IAD Structure
The IAD qualification is a fully modular course, consisting of 10 modules (8 taught modules and a Practical Project
which is a double module). To achieve IAD, students must pass, as a minimum, 4 compulsory modules and 4 elective modules
and the Practical Project
